Finidi George Defends Bench Decision: "Allow Us to Do Our Jobs" Amid Boniface Controversy

In the aftermath of Nigeria's 1-1 draw against South Africa in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers, Finidi George, the national team coach, addressed queries regarding the absence of Victor Boniface from the playing squad.

Boniface, the Bayer Leverkusen forward, remained an unused substitute throughout the encounter, prompting speculation and criticism from fans and media alike.

George, however, stood firm in his decision, stating, "Allow us to do our jobs."
