NPFL is back, One Game Played, See Other Matchday 1 Fixtures for this Weekend, Time and Other Details

By Emmanuel Oladele - The Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL is back, according to the December 17 kickoff date announced by the League Management Company, LMC, the 2021/22 season commenced yesterday, Friday 17 December with the game between MFM FC and Remo Stars at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos, the game ended 2-0 in favour of visiting Remo Stars.

Goals from Qudus Akanni and Andy Okpe in the 55th and 90th minute respectively earned the Gbenga Ogunbote's led side the first NPFL win of the season.

Other remaining nine games for matchday 1 will be played on Sunday. Heartland host Nasarawa United, while Rangers travels to Katsina to face Katsina United. NPFL Champions, Akwa United will welcome former Champions Kano Pillars at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.

Enyimba International will be at Enyimba International Stadium in Aba to host fellow State team Abia Warriors. See all nine remaining fixtures below;
