2021 AFCON: Updated Super Eagles' Final List of 28, Four New Players in

Nigfooty.com can report that the trio of Victor Osimhen, Leon Balogun, Shehu Abdullahi have been ruled out of the upcoming 2021 AFCON due to health concerns and injuries. Meanwhile, the following players have been called up as replacement for the trio, they are; Tyronne Efe Ebuehi (Venezia, Italy); Semi Ajayi (West Brom, England); Henry Onyekuru (Olympiacos, Greece)

In the same vein, Watford in-form forward Emmanuel Bonaventure Dennis whose premier league club claimed they received a late invitation for the player, has been replaced with Slavia Prague of Czech Republic forward Peter Olayinka who. The Super Eagles Camp for the 2021 AFCON has opened in Abuja since December 29th and six players are already in Camp, they are; John Noble, Sadiq Umar, Taiwo Awoniyi, Olisa Ndah, Daniel Akpeyi and Chidera Ejuke.

The 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, holds between January 9 to February 6, 2022 in Cameroon and Nigeria are in Group D alongside; Egypt, Guinea-Bissau and Sudan. The Super Eagles first game will be against Egypt on Tuesday 11th January, 2022, 17:00 Nigeria Time (+1 GMT).
