Super Eagles: The Possibilities of making it to the Final Round - Qatar 2022 FIFA WCQ

Following Nigeria 2-0 win over Liberia in Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifier matchday 5, the Super Eagles are almost through to the final round of the qualifier, but need to be very careful when they face Cape Verde in Lagos on Tuesday in second round matchday 6, the game that determines Nigeria qualification into the final round of the World Cup Qualifiers.

The Possibilities

• The Super Eagles needs to play any kind of draw with Cape Verde on Tuesday to pick at least a point that will take them to 13 points in Group C, leaving Cape Verde in 11 to win the Group. On the other hand if Cape Verde can get at least a 1-0 win, the Super Eagles of Nigeria are automatically out of Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup, hence, the Gernot Rohr led side must be very careful on Tuesday.

• Also, a win for the Nigeria Super Eagles will earn them a superb qualification into the final round, they will move to 15 points, five points clear of Cape Verde who will remained in second with 10 points. See the current Group C log ahead of Tuesday matchday 6 below;

• The home factors. The Super Eagles are playing at home in Lagos, therefore, they have the advantage of massive support from home fans and a lot more.

The Gernot Rohr led side have a good opportunity against Cape Verde but must try not to misuse it.
