By Emmanuel Oladele -
On Sunday evening in Aba, Nigeria, 10-man Enyimba International defeated Rivers United by 1-0 in the CAF Confederation Cup play-off to dashed the hope of Rivers United getting a sum of twenty million naira as promised by Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State before the game.

The Rivers State Governor promised the team N20 million if they win Enyimba International in Aba, but the lads were not lucky against their host, thereby losing N20 million to defeat in the CAF Confederation Cup play-off.

Cyril Olisema goal in the 60th minute earned Enyimba a 1-0 win over visiting Rivers United. Despite Tosin Omoyele's red card in the 75th minute, the Aba Elephants held their 1-0 lead until the end of the game.

It was a very painful game for the Rivers team which were hoping to bag Governor Wike's N20 million.
