Russia 2018 is gone but the memories lives while France 2019 is looking like something similar for Nigeria with all due respect to the Super Falcons.
But how similar could it become?
-Francis Odinaka Uzoho was the youngest goalkeeper of Russia 2018 and was in goal and he kept a clean-sheet for the Super Eagles against Iceland while Chiamaka Nnadozie is the youngest goalkeeper in the history of the FIFA Women's World Cup to keep a clean slate.
-Ahmed Musa was the man on show for Super Eagles by scoring in two consecutive World Cup and same feat was replicated by Asisat Oshoala after scoring against Korea.
-Both Super Eagles and Super Falcons lost their opening matches with 4-3-3 and won their second with 3-5-2 formation and also by same scoreline 2-0.
-Ahmed Musa's second goal against Iceland in 2018 and Asisat Oshoala's goal against Korea have similar characteristics with the opposing goalkeepers and defenders lying flat on the grass.
-But we hope Super Falcons will not emulate Super Eagles early elimination as they prepare to take on France which will decide their faith in the competition.
