Kano Pillars thrashed FC Ifeanyi Ubah on Wednesday by 3-0 in a Nigeria Professional Football League rescheduled fixture.
Nyima Nwagua's header put Pillars ahead 3 minute into the first half, thanks to Yaro Bature for the assist. FC Ifeanyi Ubah came close to scoring in the 40th but Alaekwe's shot was blocked by Anyanwu. The first half ended 1-0 in favour of the host.
The second started on a high note with Kano Pillars doubling their lead with a superb finish from Nyima Nwagua after being set up by Maigoro in the 62nd minute. Nyima's brace in the first 62 minutes of the game was enough to give Pillars a comfortable lead.
A foul by Gbadamosi Jimoh in FC Ifeanyi Ubah's 18-yard-box earned the host a spot kick, a well taken penalty from Rabiu Ali sealed the victory for the Kano based team in the 75th minute.
