Algerian football senior national team could host next opponents the Chipolopolo of Zambia in another venue according to Algerian Football federation.
Algeria are currently hoping for a revival after a poor starts to their World Cup race and anything short of total six points in the double-header in September will automatically kill the aspiration of the foxes out.
The Copper bullets of Zambia will visit the North Africans on September 5 in a Matchday four(4) of the playoffs to the 2018 Mundial and according to APS, Fédération algérienne de football(FAF) president Kheireddine Zetchi Algerian made a press statement that they could move the match from Mustapha Tchaker Stadium(37,000 capacity) to Mohamed Hamlaoui Stadium(45,000 capacity, but crowds sometimes exceed above unsafe 60,000).
"There is a strong possibility to see the match Algeria-Zambia moved to Constantine. We're working on it," said Zetchi at the ceremony organised by the General Directorate of security (DGSN) national in Algiers in honor of the two Algerian FA Cup finalists, CR Belouizdad and ES Setif that took place on Wednesday.
Since 2008, the 'Fennecs' has played virtually all its official games played inside Mustapha-Tchaker where they remained unbeaten. The last two home outings for Algeria resulted in victories against Togo (2-1) in a friendly and Guinea (1-0) in an African Cup of nations qualifier for Cameroon 2019.
Zetchi, who succeeded Mohamed Raouraoua,as the president of FAF on March 20, said that he wants the National team matches to spread across cities.
Algeria will travel to Zambia for an encounter with Chipolopolo on September 2 before returning the gesture on September 5.
The Stade Mohamed Hamlaoui has hosted six matches of the Algerian national football team, against China PR and Sudan in 1980, Niger and Nigeria in 1981, Egypt in 1989, and the Senegal in 1990.
Goals by Lakhdar Belloumi and Mustapha Rabah Madjer gave Algeria 2-1 over Super Eagles of Nigeria in 1981 and the Nigerian lone goal was scored by Felix Owolabi.
