Women Football: Five-time Footballer of the year joins Orlando Pride

Five-time Women Player of the year Marta has joined Orlando Pride from Rosendarg on a two year deal.

Marta Vieira da Silva signed a two-year contract with an option for the third year as Orlando Pride look set for the 2017 NWSL season.

The 31 year-old Brazilian is known for her dribbling abilities, strength and skills, and she is expected to help improve the team previous performance. Marta has scored 106 international goals for Brazil in 109 appearance including 15 world cup goals and 10 Olympic goals and will hope to replicate thesame for Orlando Pride.

Orlando Pride announced via Twitter that " We are incredibly proud to bring Marta to Orlando, welcome to the best ever to play the game."
Marta is expected to play alongside United State star Alex Morgan who is currently on loan at Lyon, when the 2017 NWSL start.
