Nigeria 5-4 Mexico : Abu Azeez Late Winner Eliminate Mexico

The youngest player to ever compete in a Fifa Beach Soccer World Cup Abu Azeez scored  the dramatic strike with two seconds left on the clock at extra period to seal a victory for Spirited Super Sand Eagles against Mexico on Saturday.

Abu Azeez 22 grabbed the winner for Nigeria with just 1.9seconds left on the clock to end the first drawn match in regulation time at Bahamas 2017.

It was the Mexicans that initially took control of the contest after goals from Abdiel Villa, Angel Rodriguez and Ramon Maldonado.

However, the West Africans responded with a pair of goals from Emeka Ogbonna and Azeez Abu before a late Victor Tale penalty resulted in the first regulation-time draw at Bahamas 2017. Nigeria outlasted Mexico in the extra-time period, with Abu scoring the winner just seconds from the end to claim the two points on offer.
The win for Nigeria means that ITALY are the first team to qualify for knockout stage after defeating Iran 5-4 earlier in the day.

Mexico will play for pride against Italy while Nigeria will battle Iran and both will take place on 1st of May.
