Zlatan Gets Three-Match Ban, To Miss Chelsea Clash

Manchester United forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been handed a three-match suspension by the English Football Association after admitting to a violent conduct charge.
In Saturday's Premier League clash between Manchester United and Bournemouth which ended 1-1 at Old Trafford, Ibrahimovic was caught on video elbowing Tyronne Mings in retaliation to an earlier stamp on his head by the defender.

Following the three-match ban, Ibrahimovic will now miss United's FA Cup quarter-final clash against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, and their league games against Middlesbrough (away) and West Brom (home). A statemen on the FA's website reads: "Zlatan Ibrahimovic will serve a three-match suspension with immediate effect after he admitted an FA charge of violent conduct and accepted the standard penalty.

"It follows an incident in or around the 44th minute of the game between Manchester United and AFC Bournemouth on Saturday (4 March 2017).
"The misconduct was not seen by the match officials at the time but caught on video."
