2017 FIFA U20 WORLD CUP DRAW

Africa Representatives opponents for the FIFA U20 World Cup Korea 2017 have been revealed following a draw conducted at the Suwon Artrium on Wednesday, March 15.

24 teams were drawn into six groups of four teams each for the tournament which will be hosted in South Korea from 20 May to 11 June. Zambia were drawn in Group C along with Portugal, Costa Rica and Iran. The African Cup of Nations champions will open their account in Jeju with a match against two time winners Portugal before facing Costa Rica at the same venue three days later. They will shift to Cheonan for the match with Iran which will be played simultaneously with the match between Portugal and Costa Rica scheduled for Incheon.

The match with Portugal will be played on 21 May and while the match with Costa Rica will be played on 24th.They will wrap up their group action on 27 May with Iran in Cheonan. Senegal will battle USA, Ecuador and Saudi Arabia in Group F,Guinea will face top test with multiple Champions Argentina,England and Korea in Group A while South Africa will slug it out with Uruguay, Japan and Italy.

The top two teams of each group and four best third-placed teams will qualify to the round of 16.
