Algeria to Play Some Friendlies for Gabon 2017

The Desert Foxes of Algeria are the first of the 16 African Nations Cup finalists to announce preparatory friendlies before the kick off of the tournament in Gabon in January.
Algeria, who are playing in Group B in Franceville against Tunisia, Senegal and Zimbabwe, will have two matches against Mauritania as they hold a preparatory training camp in Blida.

They will play their neighbours on January 7 and January 10, the Mauritanian Football Federation said on Monday. The matches are at the Stade Mustapha Tchaker.
Mauritania did not qualify for the finals in Gabon, which start on January 14, but did finish above South Africa in their qualifying group.
Algeria have a new coach in Belgian George Leekens, whose first match in charge last week saw the Fennecs lose 3-1 away in Nigeria in World Cup qualifying and Currently last on the table with a single point.
