Flamingos Aim to Seal World Cup Spot in Blida Showdown

Nigeria’s U-17 women’s national team, the Flamingos, are set to take on Algeria this evening in the second leg of their FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifier at the Stade Mustapha Tchaker in Blida.

The Nigerian side carries a strong advantage into the fixture, having secured a dominant 4–0 victory in the first leg. With qualification for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco on the line, the Flamingos will look to finish the job tonight.

Kick-off is scheduled for 8:00 PM (Nigerian time).

Speaking ahead of the crucial encounter, head coach Bankole Olowookere rallied support from Nigerians, saying:

“Match Day. Dear Nigerians, we humbly ask for your support to win the last leg of the FIFA U17 Women's World Cup qualifier game against Algeria today. We pray it ends in a win which will seal our qualification to the FIFA U17 Women's World Cup in Morocco.”

With confidence high and the finish line in sight, the Flamingos are determined to fly Nigeria’s flag on the world stage once again.
