Enyimba Part Ways with Head Coach Yemi Olanrewaju

Enyimba Football Club has officially announced the departure of its head coach, Yemi Olanrewaju, following a series of disappointing results. The club released a statement on Saturday confirming the decision and expressing gratitude to the coach for his contributions during his tenure.

In the official announcement, the club stated:
"Enyimba FC can confirm that it has parted ways with head coach Yemi Olanrewaju. The club thanks Coach Olanrewaju for his services and wishes him the best in his future endeavors."

Yemi Olanrewaju took over as head coach of the Aba-based club after succeeding former Super Eagles head coach, Finidi George. However, his time at the helm was marked by struggles on the pitch, which reportedly led to his departure.

Under Olanrewaju’s guidance, Enyimba faced challenges in replicating the consistent form that has historically made them one of Nigeria’s most successful football clubs. The team's recent performances in both the domestic league and continental competitions reportedly fell below expectations, prompting the management to make this decision.
