Courtney Lindsey Shines with Season's Best at Zagreb Meeting

In an electrifying display of speed, Courtney Lindsey of the United States clinched victory in the men’s 100 meters at the Zagreb meeting with a remarkable time of 9.97 seconds. This performance, which marked his season's best, was achieved under slightly unfavorable wind conditions (-0.2m/s).

Lindsey's exceptional run saw him outpace Kenya’s Ferdinand Omanyala, who finished second with a time of 10.02 seconds. Omanyala, known for his blistering pace, was unable to match Lindsey’s surge in the final meters.

Great Britain’s Romell Glave secured third place with a time of 10.11 seconds. Remarkably, Glave had competed in two races on the same day, demonstrating impressive stamina and resilience despite the demanding schedule.

Lindsey’s victory not only highlights his peak form but also sets a strong precedent as the season progresses. With this win, he solidifies his status as a formidable competitor on the global stage.
