Elkanemi Warriors Reinforce Squad Ahead of CAF Confederation Cup and NPFL Campaigns

In preparation for the upcoming challenges in both the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) and the CAF Confederation Cup, Elkanemi Warriors FC has bolstered their squad with new signings. The Maiduguri-based club, known for their recent Federation Cup triumph, is aiming to make a mark on both domestic and continental fronts under the guidance of Coach Aliyu Zubairu.

Coach Aliyu Zubairu personally invited a total of 13 players to address specific needs within the team, focusing on enhancing squad depth and tactical flexibility. Out of these invitations, nine players have already completed their signings and medical assessments, signaling their readiness to contribute to the team's ambitions.

Among the notable signings are Rahman Olarewaju, a central defender from Kwara United, and Henry Ndedi, a defensive midfielder hailing from Sporting Lagos. Bilal Yakubu joins as the right full-back from Doma United, while Moyere Oluwa Sulieman and Sunday Ajibola, both strikers from Lobi Stars, are set to provide additional firepower upfront.

Agbo Ekoi, recruited as goalkeeper from Sporting Lagos, along with Clement Naantum, a winger also from Sporting Lagos, add depth to the team's defensive and attacking options respectively. Mohammad Aminu, a central midfielder from Kano Pillars, brings experience and midfield control to Elkanemi Warriors' setup.

Coach Aliyu Zubairu expressed his satisfaction with the signings, highlighting the importance of each player in meeting the rigorous demands of the upcoming competitions. He emphasized that the selection was made based on the specific needs of the team, aiming to achieve success both domestically and internationally.

Five more players are expected to join the squad imminently, further solidifying Elkanemi Warriors' preparation for the challenges ahead in the NPFL and Confederation Cup. With all signings completing their medical assessments successfully, the team is now focused on integrating the new additions seamlessly into their existing squad.

Elkanemi Warriors FC supporters eagerly await the debut of these new signings as the club gears up for what promises to be an exciting and competitive football season ahead.
