Nigeria's rising star, Samuel Ogazi, continues his impressive first season competing in the NCAA, qualifying for the men's 400m final just about six months after moving to the United States.
Ogazi won his 400m semifinal heat with a time of 45.14s, holding off JeVaughn Powell, who finished second in 45.17s. This marks Ogazi's third-fastest time over one lap. He advanced to the final without much effort, conserving energy for the upcoming race.
