In response, Coach Finidi George has called up Ibrahim Olawoyin who currently plays as a forward for Caykur Rizespor in Turkey to join the squad.

Nigeria is gearing up for two pivotal World Cup Qualifying matches in June 2024. The Super Eagles will host South Africa on Friday, June 7, 2024, at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, with kickoff scheduled for 20:00 WAT. This match is crucial for Nigeria as they look to secure maximum points.
