UEFA Europa League: Boniface score in Leverkusen win on Thursday

Nigeria Super Forward Victor Boniface was on target on Thursday in the UEFA Europa League Quarter-final leg 1 of 2 at the Bay Arena as Bayer Leverkusen defeated David Moyes' led West Ham United by 2-0.

The 23-year-old came into the game as a 76th minute substitute to double Leverkusen lead in the added minutes after regulation time. This is the first goal for the forward since returning from injury. Before Boniface's goal, Jason Hofmann had put Xabi Alonso side ahead of West Ham with a goal advantage in the 80th minute.

The Nigerian International gave a good account of himself after replacing Patrik Schick in the 76th minute of the game.

Leverkusen will be going into the the second leg of the encounter with a two goal advantage.
