Bayer Leverkusen has emerged Champions of the German Bundesliga following their 5-0 thrashing of SV Werder Bremen on Sunday in the league Matchday 29. Victor Boniface spot kick, Florian Wirtz's hat-trick and Xhaka lone goal were enough to earn the new Champions a comfortable victory over their Visitors SV Werder Bremen.
The Xabi Alonso led side clinched 79 points to win the Bundesliga title after their win on Sunday and are now 16 points clear of second place Bayern Munich.
Bayer Leverkusen won the title for the first time, they have now broken Bayern Munich dominance after 11 straight title win in the German Bundesliga.
The Champions remain unbeaten so far in the 2023/24 league season and have won the title with five games to spare.
