FIFA referee Diana Chikotesha has been assigned to Assistant VAR duties in two CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup quarter-final matches due this month and April.
The Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023 history maker will be in the VAR room on 30 March, 2024 when Esperance ST of Tunisia plays ASEC Mimosas of Cote D'Ivoire in the CAF Champions League quarterfinal match at the Stade Olympique de Rades in Rades.
Chikotesha will then fly into Cairo for an all Egyptian TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup 2023/24 quarter-final match involving Zamalek SC and Future FC at Cairo International stadium on 7 April, 2024.
The two matches will be Chikotesha’s first international appointment since AFCON 2023 in Cote D'Ivoire.
