Super Eagles improves in latest FIFA Ranking

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have moved a place upward in the latest FIFA Ranking released today Thursday 29th June 2023. The Nigeria National Men's Football Team moved from 40th to 39th position with 1,486.48 points.

Recall, the Super Eagles were ranked 40th in the last ranking released in April, with 1,480.8 points.

The Jose Paseiro's led side improves with additional 5.68 points. During the period, the Super Eagles of Nigeria played a single game in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier against Sierra Leone, a game Nigeria won by 3-2, which also earned them a place in the next Africa Cup of Nations.

Despite the improvement in the world ranking, Nigeria remained 6th in Africa, behind Morocco, Senegal, Tunisia, Algeria and Egypt, thesame spot they were in the April ranking.

Meanwhile, Argentina maintained their top spot in the ranking ahead of France and Brazil who are in third and fourth position respectively.
