South Korea thrash Zambia's Copper Queens in an International Friendly

By Emmanuel Oladele - The Copper Queens of Zambia were on Friday's afternoon thrashed by South Korea Women's Football Team in an International friendly, 5-2 it ended in favour of South Korea.

The game which was held at Suwon World Cup Stadium saw Cho So-Hyun and Lee Geummin getting a brace each to their credit in the thrilling encounter, as Rachel Kundananji and Barbra Banda strikes in the 37th and 45th minute were not enough to prevent the Zambians from the heavy defeat on Friday. Also, on Tuesday 11th April, 2023, the Copper Queens will face the same South Korea in another friendly at the Yongin Citizen Sports Park.

The two friendly games are aimed at preparing both sides for the upcoming 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup which hold in July. The tournament will be hosted by Australia and New Zealand.
