NPFL: Remo Stars wins Appeal Battle

Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side Remo Stars has been able to appealed the three points and three goals deduction sanctions meted against them by the Interim Management Committee of the Nigeria's top flight league.

Recall, the three points and three goals deduction happened after their matchday 12 game against Gombe United, where there was alleged assaulit against the Visitors, the centre referee, and were sanctioned. After a review by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Disciplinary Committee, the sanctions meted against Remo Stars have been reversed.

The team has been able to appealed the sanctions as confirmed in the club statement;

With the reinstated three points and goals, Remo Stars are now fifth on the Group A log with 24 points.

Also, Wikki Tourists three points and three goals deducted after the alleged violence against Bayelsa United reinstated.

Meanwhile, Bayelsa United three points and three goals deduction after the alleged reports of their fans assaulting the match official was adopted. Bayelsa United three points and three goals stand deducted.
