According to the World Athletic, three-time 100 Metres Olympic Gold Medalist Usain Bolt is the fastest man ever on the track, running a personal best of 9.58sec, the feat he achieved on August 16th, 2009 at the World Athletics Championship in Berlin, the Jamaican top the list of top ten 100M Male Sprinters of all-time with this achievement. Second on the list is American Tyson Gay who run a personal best of 9.69sec on 20th September, 2009 at the Shanghai Golden Grand Prix, making him the second fastest man in the history of 100 metres.
Jamaican duo of Yohan Blake and Asafa Powell are third and fourth on the list with a personal best of 9.69sec and 9.72sec respectively. See full list below;
Meanwhile, Late Florence Griffith Joyner best known as Flo-Jo holds the record of the fastest woman ever on track with a personal best of 10.49sec, a feat she achieved at the U.S Olympic Trials in Indianapolis, as the Country prepares for the Seoul 1988 Olympic. Her record is 35 years old this year, making it the longest-reigning sprinting records in track and field history.
