Flying Eagles of Nigeria beat Uganda U20 to reach AFCON Semi-Final & FIFA U20 World Cup

By Emmanuel Oladele - The Flying Eagles of Nigeria on Thursday in the quarter-final game of the ongoing 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in Egypt, beat Uganda U20 side by 1-0 to reach the semi-final of the tournament and moreover, the 2023 FIFA U20 World Cup in Indonesia.

Ibrahim Juma's own goal in the 30th minutes was enough to seal the victory of the evening for the Ladan Bosso's led side. See details below;

Nigerian defender Abel Ogwuche was very solid at the back for the Flying Eagles against Uganda U20, and was named the TotalEnergies Man of the Match at the Suez Canal Stadium in Ismailia, Egypt.

In the other quarter-final game played on Thursday, Senegal defeated Benin by 1-0, goal from Samba Diallo in the 51st minute earned Senegal the vital victory over their Beninese Counterparts.

Both Nigeria and Senegal are through to the 2023 U20 AFCON Semi-final and moreover, the 2023 FIFA U20 World Cup in Indonesia.
