U20 AFCON: Senegal U20 beat Nigeria Flying Eagles

By Emmanuel Oladele - Senegal U20 National Team on Sunday defeated the Flying Eagles of Nigeria by 1-0 in the 2023 Africa U20 Cup of Nations in Egypt.

Goal from Mame Faye in the 40th minutes of the first half secured the first victory of the tournament for the Senegalese. See details below;

The Ladan Bosso led side are currently at the bottom of Group A, as Senegal currently top the Group. Meanwhile, in the other Group A game played earlier on Sunday, Mozambique and Egypt played a goalless draw, and are second and third respectively on Group A Standings, though they shared the same number of point.

The Nigeria U20 side will hope to redeem their image when they face host Egypt on Wednesday in their second game.

At the end of regulation time, it's Senegal U20 1-0 Nigeria U20, so it ended at the Cairo International Stadium in Egypt on Sunday.
