Odion Ighalo's Al-Hilal beat Brazilian Side Flamengo to reach 2022 FIFA Club World Cup Final

By Emmanuel Oladele - On Tuesday Odion Ighalo's Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia defeated Flamengo of Brazil by 3-2 in the semi-final of the 2022 FIFA Club World Cup in Morocco to reach the final.

Salem Aldawasari opened scoring for Al-Hilal in the 4th minute of the game from the spot, before Flemengo striker Pedro got an equaliser in the 20th minute. Meanwhile before half time, Salem Aldawasari put the Saudi Arabian side ahead with another goal from the spot, to end the first half 2-1 in favour of Al-Hilal.

In the 70th minute of the second half, Luciano Vietto got another goal for Al-Hilal, doubling the lead for the Ramón Diaz's led side. Pedro's second strike in the added minute of the second half was not enough to get the Brazilian side back into the game, hence they bowed to a 3-2 defeat.

In the added time of the first half, Flamengo woes were compounded when Gerson was red carded.

Former Nigerian International Odion Ighalo led the attack for Al-Hilal but did not get any goal from the game, and was replaced with Michael in the 58th minute of the second half.

Al-Hilal will now face the winners of the second semi-final game between Al Ahly of Egypt and Real Madrid of Spain. The game comes up today Wednesday at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, 20:00 WAT.

After the regulation time, it's Flamengo 2-3 Al-Hilal, so it ended at the Grand Stade de Tanger in the 2022 FIFA Club World Cup Semi-final game on Tuesday.
