By Emmanuel Oladele - Nigerian International and Napoli hitman Victor Osimhen was again on target as Napoli outclassed German side Eintracht Frankfurt on Tuesday by a 2-0 win in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 first leg at the Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt.
Osimhen got the opening goal of the game in the 40th minute, after receiving a quick cross from Lozano, the 24-year-old bundles the ball into the net at the far post.
Before Osimhen's strike, the forward had earlier gotten Napoli a penalty in the 34th minute of the first half, after he was brought down in Eintracht Frankfurt's area, but a penalty miss by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia denied Napoli from taking the lead in the 35th minute of the game. The first half of the encounter ended 1-0 in favour of the visitors.
Eintracht Frankfurt got into more problems in the 58th minutes of the the second half, as Kolo Muani was red carded following a poor challenge on Napoli's Anguissa, they were down to 10-man, and had to play the rest of the game with a one player deficit.
In the 65th minute, Napoli's Captain Di Lorenzo doubles the lead for the visitors. The right back sweeps home Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's cheeky backheel pass with his left foot, to earn Napoli the second goal of the game.
Victor Osimhen has now scored a total of two goals in the UEFA Champions League this season, and has also been fantastic for Napoli in the Serie A this season, scoring 18 goals so far.
At the end of regulation time, it's Eintracht Frankfurt 0-2 Napoli, so it ended at the Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt, in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 First Leg.
