2022 CHAN: Senegal are Champions, beat Host Algeria in the Final

By Emmanuel Oladele - Senegal on Saturday's defeated Host Algeria on penalties in the final of the 2022 African Nations Championship (CHAN) after a goalless regulation time and extra time, the game ended 5-4 on penalties in favour of the Senegalese.

The 2022 CHAN is the 7th edition of the tournament, and Senegal are the winners. This is the first time the Senegalese will be winning the biennial competition organised by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for National team players currently playing in their respective local leagues. The 2022 edition was held in Algeria.
