By Emmanuel Oladele - Ghana FA has appointed former Swiss International Nora Häuptle as the new head coach of the Ghana National Women's Football Team, the Black Queens. She will take charge of the team as the they prepare for the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers and the third edition of the WAFU Zone B Africa Women's Cup of Nations which holds in March/April, 2023.
The 39-year-old is a UEFA Pro Licence Certificate holder, she was an Instructor for the Swiss Football Association. Nora also has Masters in Sports Sciences and a Bachelor of Philosophy and Minor Theatre Sciences.
Nora has previously worked with Ghana as the Technical Advisor of the female U-20 national team, Black Princesses.
She will be assisted by the following coaches, namely;
• Boatey Agyei - A Physical Education Tutor and Former Coach of Ghana U-15 National Female Team.
• Aboagye Dacosta - A Trainer of Ashtown Ladies in Kumasi, a Women's Premier League Club in Ghana.
The Ghanaian Football Association are working tirelessly to restore the Glory of the Nation's Women's Senior Team.
