Arsenal wins double Honour in Premier League Nov/Dec Awards

By Emmanuel Oladele - League Leaders Arsenal FC have won a double honour in November/December Premier League Awards, as the Gunners won the Barclay manager of the month and Player of the month.

Team's manager Mikel Arteta won the Manager of the month for November/December. Arteta beat the likes of Brentford Manager Thomas Frank, Newcastle Manager Eddie Howe and Liverpool Manager Jürgen Klopp to win the prestigious award. The 40-year-old won all his four premier league games for November/December.

On the other hand, Martin Ødegaard won the player of the month for November/December, beating Casemiro, Bukayo Saka, Erling Haaland, Tripper, Marcus Rashford, João Palhinha and Benjamin Mee to win the award. The Norwegian scored three goals in four November/December Premier League Games and was instrumental to his side winning all their four fixtures during the period.

Following Arsenal brilliant start to the season, the Mikel Arteta's led side continue to stay at the top of the premier league log with 44 points and five points of Manchester City who sit in the second position.

The Barclay Awards for November and December were merged together because of limited actions during the period due to the FIFA World Cup holding in Qatar.
