The Nigeria Women's Football League goes on Christmas Break

By Emmanuel Oladele - The Nigeria Women's Football League, NWFL, has announced that the league has embarked on Christmas break from 22nd December. The announcement is coming just two days after the 2022/23 season matchday 4.

The Nigeria Women's Football League made the announcement on their OfficialNWFL Twitter page in a post which reads as follows; "Premiership takes its Christmas🎄 break, from 22nd December 2022 after MATCHDAY 4️⃣ games on Wednesday. All teams will restart on 4 January, 2023 with MATCHDAY 5️⃣ fixtures."

Ahead of resumption from the Christmas break, Delta Queens top Group A, while Edo Queens to Group B.

The League is expected to resume on 4th January, 2023 with Matchday 5.
