The second team from Tenerife will begin 2023 with a new representative figure on the benches. Antonio González will face the remainder of the season in the tough and competitive First Federation. The coach, with a long history at the club since its inception, has been chosen to face the upcoming challenges. The president of the entity, Sergio Batista, stressed that "Antonio is a man of the house, he has always been willing to help when we have needed it, he knows the dynamics perfectly and the colors of UDG Tenerife have run through his veins since the principle. He has been a fundamental part of our history on numerous occasions, so our confidence is complete ”.
The new coach is a good connoisseur of UDG Tenerife, since he has gone through the island organization charts in different positions and stages. From the benches, directing the first team even during three games, to the offices, as technical coordinator of the entity and forming part of the board of directors.
González has extensive experience in Tenerife football. He was the sports coordinator and coach in the grassroots categories of CD Tenerife for eleven seasons and has served as coach of CD Laguna SAD, CD San Andrés, Granadilla (Tercera Division), Ibarra and Raqui San Isidro.
On January 2 he will take charge of the Guerreritas squad with his first training session and, later, on January 8 his official debut will take place at home against RCD Espanyol.
