2022 FIFA U17 Women's World Cup: Nigeria beat Germany to win Bronze

The Nigeria U17 Women's Football Team, the Flamingos on Sunday beat Germany 3-2 on Penalties to win the 2022 FIFA U17 Women's World Cup Bronze at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, India.

Germany came from three goals down to take the game to penalty Shootout after it ended 3-3 in regulation time, the game went straight to penalty Shootout.

During the Penalty Shootout, it was Nigeria's day as Faith Omilana saved Germany's fifth penalty to crowned the Flamingos efforts. At the end of penalties, it's Nigeria 3-2 Germany. See details below;

The 2022 Flamingos squad are the first Nigerian Team to win a medal in the FIFA U17 Women's World Cup.

Flamingos forward Opeyemi Ajakaye won the Player of the match for the third place game.
