Seven Teams that have Qualified for 2022 CAF Women's Champions League

By Emmanuel Oladele - A total of seven teams have qualified for the upcoming 2022 CAF Women's Champions League which holds in Morocco. The Seven teams qualified from 5 sub-confederation tournaments which commenced on 7th August, 2022.

In the 2022 CAF Women's Champions League, one team is expected to represent each sub-confederation, but Memelodi Sundowns got automatic qualification as defending Champions. The Qualified Teams are;

Qualified Team for 2022 CAF Women's Champions League

• AS FAR Rabat {Morocco (host)} - The Moroccan side qualified automatically as the host, and are 2021/22 Moroccan Championship Champions (2nd Appearance).

• Memelodi Sundowns (South Africa) - The South African side qualified as holders of the CAF Women's Champions League title, they won the 2021 edition which is also the first edition of the competition (2nd Appearance).

• Green Buffaloes (Zambia) - They qualified as Champions of 2022 CAF Women's Champions League COSAFA Qualifiers (1st Appearance).

• Wadi Degla (Egypt) - The Egyptian side qualified as Champions of 2022 CAF Women's Champions League UNAF Qualifiers (2nd Appearance).

• Determine Girls FC (Liberia) - They qualified as Champions of 2022 CAF Women's Champions League WAFU Zone A Qualifiers (1st Appearance).

• Simba Queens (Tanzania) - They qualified as Champions of 2022 CAF Women's Champions League CECAFA Qualifiers (1st Appearance).

• Bayelsa Queens FC - They qualified as Champions of 2022 CAF Women's Champions League WAFU Zone B Qualifiers (1st Appearance).

One more team from 2022 CAF Women's Champions League UNIFFAC Qualifiers will join the already qualified seven for the upcoming 2022 CAF Women's Champions League in Morocco. The tournament will hold between October and November 2022.
