By Emmanuel Oladele - Two games involving Nigerian Clubs were played on Sunday in the CAF Champions League, in Liberia, Watanga FC defeated Rivers United by 1-0 to end their first preliminary round tie by 3-1 on aggregate in favour of Rivers United FC.
In the second game, Plateau United recorded a 1-0 win over Visitors ASO Stade Mandji of Gabon to end their first preliminary round campaign on a 3-2 aggregate scoreline, and the Nigerian side have progressed to the second round.
In the CAF Confederation Cup, Kwara United played a 0-0 draw in Niamey against AS Douanes of Niger Republic, the Harmony Boys won the fixture by 3-0 on aggregate. On the other hand Remo Stars recorded a 1-0 loss against Moroccan side AS FAR in Ikenne, and lost the first preliminary round tie by 2-1 on aggregate.
