How NPFL Clubs fared on the Continent over the Weekend

By Emmanuel Oladele - The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) clubs had a good outings over the weekend on the continent. In the CAF Champions League, Plateau United played a 2-2 away draw with Satde Mandji of Gabon in first leg of the first preliminary round on Saturday in Libreville. In another game, Rivers United thrased Watanga FC of Liberia by 3-0 on Sunday at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Portharcourt.

In the CAF Confederation Cup first preliminary round first leg, Kwara United of Ilorin beat AS Douanes of Niger Republic by 3-0 at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos on Sunday. In Rabat, Morocco, Remo Stars  got a vital away 1-1 draw. See details below;
