17 Days to 2022 FIFA U17 WWC, Nigeria Coach Olowookere Unveils Final Squad

By Emmanuel Oladele - It's 17 days to the kickoff of the the 7th edition of the FIFA U17 Women's World Cup, India 2022, the Head coach of Nigeria U17 Women's Football Team Bankole Olowookere has released the list of 21 players that will represent Nigeria at the tournament. The list has three goalkeepers, eight defenders, five midfielders and five attackers. Meanwhile, Alasa Attervall is the only foreign based player in the squad, she plays for IFK Göteborg of Sweden as a defender. See full list below;

The Flamingos are in Group B alongside; Germany, New Zealand and Chile. The Nigerian side will kick off their 2022 campaign with Germany on Tuesday 11th October 2022, at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Margao, before facing New Zealand and Chile in their subsequent Group games. Nigeria missed the 2018 edition of the tournament in Uruguay, but will hope to prove their worth in the 2022 edition.

The tournament will hold from 11-30 October 2022, and a total of 32 games will be played in the tournament.
