The immediate past Ondo State Football Association's Vice Chairman said the Governor who is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, (SAN) understands the law and so he wouldn't be disposed to stampeding law.
He said the Governor has done what the law says ,which stated that Agency's Board be under direct supervision of Ministry of Youth and Sports Development.
According to the President, Ologbese Football Academy, "OndoFootballStakeholdersForum commended the Governor for restoring order in ODSFA through the dissolution of the Interim Committee towards paving way for a proper Board in line with the enabling law."
He said: "Despite some anomaly in the administration of football club, the Interim Committee headed by the state's Deputy Governor, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa must be lauded for rescuing Sunshine Stars FC from relegation in 2020/2021 season.
"The Deputy Governor is not a known football technocrat but the committee performed creditably well beyond expectations, the record he as shown that he managed the Agency's funds well without the usual method of borrowing from outside the system"
"The Deputy Governor would have done much more better but he was pre-occupied with governance which is his primary mandate anyways." He has done his best. History would judge him rightly and other Management Committee's members for their contributions towards the development of the sector.
He urged the new ODSFA Supervisor, Commissioner for Sports, Dele Ologun to get his heart together and ready to take the sector to greater heights in all ramifications.
"As a young, energetic and business oriented personality, he has pedigrees to pilot the game of football to appreciable level in the State, he must discharge his responsibilities without fair or favour and must surpass achievements of the Interim Committee.
"The commissioner need to roll up his sleeve and devout his time and energies in restructuring the Agency for optimal performance and for the attainment of full professional status.
The OndoFootballStakeholdersForum urged the Sports Commissioner to improve fortunes of both Sunshine Stars and Sunshine Queens by all possible means.
He must do everything possible in returning Sunshine Queens to the Premier League at the end of this season. This is a task that must be accomplished for him to be applauded."
"The Stakeholders Forum are seriously opposed to the Public Private Partnership (PPP) arrangements in running football in Ondo State.
The idea of investors to taking over Sunshine Stars under PPP arrangement now or in the nearest future is a misnomer and wouldn't supported and accepted by stakeholders.
No Premier League Football Club is being manage through (PPP) in Nigeria as at today, so Ondo State Government should device alternative ways of driving the club to its proper destinations," he said.
Ologbese advised: "That the best way of making Sunshine Stars stands on its feet is through setting up of Sporting Directorate in ODSFA to be headed by an expert who would embark on aggressive players marketing towards generating funds to finance the club without relying totally on government's funding.
