By Emmanuel Oladele - Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side Remo Stars SC has unveiled CD Feirense of Portugal Assistant Coach Daniel Ogunmodede Adesina (Ija Ball) as the new head coach of the club.
In the past few days, former team head coach Gbenga Ogunbote (The Oracle) left the club after helping the club to a CAF Confederation Cup place finish in the just concluded 2021/22 NPFL season, but his contract was never renewed and has been replaced by Daniel Ogunmodede.
Ogunmodede was also a former coach at Remo Stars, he was in charge of the club when they gained promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League in 2021 before he left the club to join CD Feirense of Portugal as Assistant Coach.
During the unveiling, Ogunmodede feels he knows the team better and not a new environment for him, "for me, its not a new environment, it's my domain, I have been there for years, now I'm back to the fold, though on a bigger platform," Ogunmodede said on Friday.
Remo Stars will be competing in the next CAF Confederation Cup and the NPFL, Ogunmodede will hope to prove his worth when the new season kicks off.
