2022 FIFA U20 Women's World Cup: Spain stun Defending Champions Japan in the Final, as Brazil thrash Netherland to win Third Palce

By Emmanuel Oladele - Spain National U20 Women's Team in the early hours of Monday stunned defending Champions Japan in the final of Costa Rica 2022 FIFA U20 Women's World Cup, 3-1 it ended in favour of the Spaniards.

The Spanish Team were 3-0 up in the first half courtesy of Inma Gabarro strike and Salma Ayingono's brace in the 12th, 22nd and 27th minutes respectively to give Pedro López a great first half lead.

In the second half, Suzu Amano had a quick response to the Spaniards 3-0 lead with a superb strike in the 47th minute but was not enough to bring the Japanese back into the game which ended 3-1. See details below

The Spanish Team have dethroned the Raining Champions Japan to emerge the Champions of 2022 FIFA U20 Women's World Cup in Costa Rica.

After the entire game time, it's Spain 3-1 Japan, so it ended at the Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica, and Spain are the Champions of the World at the U20 Women's Level.
