2022 FIFA U20 Women's World Cup Semi-Final Results

By Emmanuel Oladele - The two semi-final games of the ongoing 2022 FIFA U20 Women's World Cup in Costa Rica were concluded in the early hours of Friday with some amazing results. The first Semi-final saw Spain beating Netherlands by 2-1 at the Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica in San Jose. Inma Gabarro's brace in the 22nd and 25th minute respectively gave the Spaniards the needed win, though Netherlands midfielder Rose van Gool scored in the 54th minute to bring consolation to the Dutch Team. Spain are now through to the final.

In the second Semi-final, Defending Champions Japan defeated Brazil by 1-2 to book a date with Spain in the final. Yuzuki Yamamoto put the Asian side infront in the 30th minute of the first half, only to saw her goal cancelled in the 55th minute courtesy of Miriam Cristina Cavalcante goal. The Determined Japanese finished the work in the 84th minute via Maika Hamano strike to take the scoreline to 2-1 just six minutes to the end of the normal time. Japan are now through to the final of the 2022 FIFA U20 Women's World Cup in Costa Rica. See detailed Results below;

Japan will now face Spain in the final which comes up on Monday 29th August, 2022 at 03:00 West Africa Time, and Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica in San Jose will host the final.

Meanwhile, Netherlands will face Brazil on Sunday 28th August, 2022 in the third place game at the Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica in San Jose, and the kickoff Time is 23:30 West Africa Time.
