2022 FIFA U20 Women's World Cup: Results of the Two Quarter-Final Games Played So Far

By Emmanuel Oladele - Two Quarter-final games have been played so far in the ongoing Costa Rica 2022 FIFA U20 Women's World Cup. On Saturday night, Spain defeated Mexico in the first quarter-final game by 1-0, 19-year-old Sevilla Striker Inma Gabarro grabbed the only goal for the Spaniards, She's also the current top goalscorer in the tournament. The forward has scored five goals so far.

Spain have now advanced to the semi-final, they will face the winner of the quarter-final game between Nigeria and Netherlands, which comes up tonight at 23:30WAT.

In another quarter-final game, Brazil beat Mexico by 1-0 to grab their semi-final ticket earlier this morning. Tarciane Karen dos Santos de Lima scored from the spot in the 26th minute to earn the South Americans a place in the Semi-final. Brazil will face the winner of the quarter-final game between Japan and France, which comes up in the early hours of tomorrow (03:00 WAT).
