2022 CAF Women's Champions League (WAFU Zone B): Results So Far, Group Standings and Details of Today's Fixtures

By Emmanuel Oladele - The 2022 CAF Women's Champions League WAFU Zone B kicked off over the weekend with seven teams split into Group A and B. Group A has Africa Sports (Côte d'Ivoire), Hope FC (Benin Republic) and AS Police (Niger Republic), while Group B has Bayelsa Queens FC (Nigeria), AMPEM FC (Ghana), USFA (Burkina Faso) and Athleta FC (Togo). Four Games have been played so far, below are the Result of all the Games;

MATCH RESULTS

 GROUP A | DAY 1

• Africa Sports 5-0 AS Police FT.


GROUP B | DAY 1

• AMPEM FC 3-0 USFA FT.

• Athleta FC 0-5 Bayelsa Queens FC FT.


GROUP A | DAY 2

• AS Police 1-2 Hope FC (Espoir) FT.

Meanwhile, Africa Sports and Hope FC have qualified for the semi-final and AS Police of Niger has been eliminated after failing to win any of their games in Group A.

The WAFU Zone B Championship serves as qualifier for the 2022/23 CAF Women's Champions League Qualifiers which hold in Morocco between October to November 2022. The winner of the qualifier will represent WAFU Zone B in the CAF Women's Champions League. It will be the second edition of the competition. Recall, Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies won the first edition of the competition.
