By Emmanuel Oladele - Senegal Women's National Football Team and the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon have both qualified for the Inter-Confederation Play-offs (a 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup Qualification which involves teams from other Confederation). On Sunday, Senegal defeated Tunisia by 4-2 on penalties to qualify for the play-offs.
On the other hand, Cameroon outclassed Botswana by 1-0 to book their place in the play-offs.
Both team qualified from the Repechage phase games that were played on Sunday in Morocco. In the Repechage phase, the four losers of the 2022 WAFCON quarterfinals face off, two winners emerged and have advanced to the inter-confederation playoffs, a world cup qualifier involving teams from other confederation.
The Inter-Confederation play-offs will hold from 18 to 23 February 2023 in Australia/New Zealand.
