Europa League: Rangers Advance, as West Ham crash out

By Emmanuel Oladele - Rangers on Thursday night overturned their 1-0 first leg semi-final deficit to progress into the final of the UEFA Europa League. The Scottish team stunned RB Leipzig by 3-1 in the semi-final second leg.

Goals from Tavenier, Kamara and Lundstram in the 18th, 24th and 80th minute respectively were enough to give the Van Bronchorst led side the desired victory of the night. Though Leipzig forward Nkunku scored in the 70th minute, leveling the game for the German side, but Lundstram 80th minute strike finally sent RB Leipzig packing from the competition. The game ended 3-1 (3-2 on aggregate) in favour of Rangers.

In the other second semi-final, Eintracht Frankfurt defeated 10-man West Ham by 1-0 (3-1 on aggregate) to set up a clash with Rangers in the final of the 2021/22 Europa League, which comes up on May 18 at Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium in Seville, Spain. West Ham and RB Leipzig have now crashed out of the Europa league, as Rangers and Entracht Frankfurt progresses.
