Shooting Stars 2-0 Enyimba: The High Points

HONOUR FOR THE DEPARTED ALAAFIN :
Before the kick off, a minute silence was observed in honour of the great monarch, the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi 111, who recently passed on to join his ancestors last Friday, at the ripe age of 83. May the soul of baba rest in peace.

SKIPPER TAOFEEQ MALOMO: For the second consecutive home game, the young player wore the captain's arm band.

Just like it happened when he led tbe team to a 3-0 win over Lobi Stars on Matchday 23, in which he produced the assist for the second goal via a well curled free kick,  Malomo also led the team to a 2-0 win over Enyimba on Monday. Again, he was involved in the action which led to the first goal scored by Omoduemuke Moses.

MAN OF THE MATCH: For his splendid performance in the game, Malomo was deservedly voted as the most outstanding player of the encounter. On hand to present the award, courtesy of the Ibadan City Polytexhnic,  to him, was ex International, Mutiu Adepoju (Headmaster).

OMODUEMUKE MOSES: The striker netted his first goal for the Oluyole Warriors since joining the team during the transfer window. Booed when he played his first game.on home soil for the team in the 0-0 draw against Gombe United on matchday 21, Moses responded perfectly by opening his account on Monday, thus atoning for the missed opportunities in previous games.

EMMANUEL LUCKY: The skllful striker is fast becoming the toast of the teeming lovers of the club. Scoring again for the second consecutive home.game for the stars, is a clear indication that his brace against Lobi Stars was not a fluke. Supporters and fans of the Oluyole Warriors seem to be having their worries, as far as goal scoring is concerned over, with the belief that the light skinned forward will continue to bang in the goals.

DETAN OGUNDARE: The former U-20 national team safehand was inpressive in between the sticks in Monday's match. Conceeding no goal against Enyimba makes it the third consecutive home match he will be keeping a clean sheet.

He kept a clean sheet agaiinst Gombe United on matchday 21, he did the same against Lobi Stars on matchday 23 and repeated the same against Enyimba on Monday.
