By Olamide Oyetunji - After some thorough research, fast-rising WWE enthusiast Olamide Sunday Oyetunji, is delighted to unveil Dr. Julius Iyorluhum Uhaa, the father of World Wrestling Entertainment wrestler Sesugh Isaac Uhaa popularly known as Apollo Crews.
Young Nigerians are the largest immigrant population from Africa into developed countries, with thousands of Nigerians leaving the West African country for greener pastures every year. Dr. Julius Iyorluhum Uhaa is a living example of outstanding representation for Nigerians across the globe and someone Nigerians in diaspora could positively emulate.
From Benue State mid-belt region of Nigeria, a vibrant young Julius Iyorluhum Uhaa who could be traced to the Akume Mue family in Vandeikya Local Government had a dream of becoming a medical practitioner.
As a student of Government Secondary School Gboko, he worked hard in school, acquired knowledge and was able to develop skills. It must be noted that doing well in elementary school generally leads to good grades. It also opens the door to honours classes and other important opportunities.
After graduating with the Government Secondary School Gboko "Golden" Class of 1975 which had Dr. Joseph Antyo, Engr. Dondo Ahire, James Ikyerga, Yagba Tsav and Professor Dennis Ityavyar( Benue State 2023 Governorship Aspirant Under PDP), Dr. Julius Iyorluhum Uhaa proceeded to the illustrious University of Ibadan and graduated with flying colours in 1982.
As destiny will have it, Dr. Julius Iyorluhum Uhaa set out for further studies in 1984 under the Nigerian government scholarship to the University of California, Sacramento, United States of America and was trained as an epidemiologist.
The 65-year-old has worked with the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) in Kenya, Uganda, Senegal, Zambia, South Sudan, Ethiopia and more.
His success story won't be complete without the mention of his darling wife Mrs Mariam Aver Uhaa (60) who stood by him and the couple can also be proud of their four children namely;
Nguvan Uhaa-Walden (36) a member of the United States Army, Sesugh Uhaa (34), a former WWE United States and Intercontinental champion, Tersoo Solomon Uhaa (32), an Assistant Strength Coach of the University of Georgia American Football team and the baby of the family Mimidoo Uhaa (26).
